Lions of the Heart is a Guild devoted to role-playing and ensuring the maximum enjoyment of "EverQuest" for as many of the people within the Norrathian universe as possible. We strive to uphold the maturity and professionalism of our guild, both in role-playing and our behavior towards fellow players. We are a Guild firmly rooted in the concept of "Diversity" for all that the term implies. We will allow our members to pursue any race, creed, alignment, class, etc. so long as they continue to promote the concept of gamesmanship and role-playing as set forth by the environment of the game and in our own guild credo. While we are guild that follows the light of goodness, we recognize that evil races exist. Members playing an evil race may participate in the guild, with the understanding that they are to follow an inherently good path throughout their adventures.

Though we recognize that EverQuest has multiple Deities, we are bound by the religion of fellowship and basic good as our guiding force. We encourage all members to promote role-playing at all times for the enjoyment of all those we interact with. Our role in the universe of EverQuest is to enhance the gaming experience of all players, not just our membership, to provide assistance whenever possible to those in need, and to take part in the struggles between the conflicting forces that exist in the realm of Norrath.

THE DO'S AND DO NOT'S OF LIONS OF THE HEART

1) Please use /role instead of /anon when you need to hide your class to avoid nagging tells for buffs or ports.  /anon hides your guild tag although people can still do /guildstatus to see your guild.  We are Lions and proud of it.  Always show your guild tag

2) Try to be kind and courteous to all you deal with even if they refuse to do the same.

3) Try to avoid getting involved in shouting matches across a zone.  We are Lions and we try to take the High Road although tis not always easy at times.

4) NEVER TRAIN ANYONE.  This is a less then honourable tactic and one that we as Lions should never have to resort to.

5) Avoid profanity in zonewide communications and even in guildchat try to keep it civil.  We have a wide group of members and want everyone to feel comfortable in guildchat.

6) Be kind to those new players who try to do things for themselves and help them out sometimes.   This does not mean that you have to answer or deal with the annoying beggars but again if you say no to them try to be polite.  They may still be ticked off but such is life.

7) Participate in the guild message forums even if it is just scanning through the messages once a week.  The more we communicate the better the guild will be.  Help us make it better :)

8) Try to keep your character levels updated in GuildMagic.

9) NEVER engaged in trade scams, con games, or casinos.  Lions are above such things.

10) Do not ask guild members for free gear or equipment. Free gear or equipment is something that is OFFERED by someone not ASKED for by someone.

11) Do not ask for special deals on gear or equipment. Special deals or prices on equipment or gear by guild members is something that is OFFERED by a member it is not ASKED for by a member.

12) Do not go about asking people outside the guild in /tells, /shouts /auctions /oocs for hand outs of gear or to be powerlevelled.  If caught doing so you it will be explained to you that this is not allowed and why for the first two times. On the third time you will be removed from the guild.

13) When you die and need a res or can't find your body or even neeed a teleport you should see what you can do on your own first.  Your first response should not be a /gu in guildchat.  If there are guildmembers in the zone that is one thing.  But first try to resolve things on your own.  Being considerate of guildmembers is not running to res/port  a guildie whenever they die/need a port.   Being considerate is trying to get a res/port on your own first instead of expecting guildmembers to stop what they are doing to come res or port you.
